Blessed the Persecuted
The ultimate goal for any Christian is to be able to sit at the right hand of God in heaven. This last Beatitude shows the way that makes that possible. It says, "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
