Bethany University started out as a training facility for an urban San Franciscio ministry in 1919. It was the first Assemblies of God college and is located on the Central Coast of California, just north of Santa Cruz.
The Christian focused university is accredited and has upwards of 500 students enrolled. It offers four-year programs and students can earn their associate's, bachelor's and master's degrees in the arts and sciences. Bethany University also provides online courses and classes in various locations.
