Though grieved by the death of her husband and sons, God eventually brought Naomi great joy and restoration through the marriage of her daughter-in-law Ruth to Boaz. God used Naomi to graft Ruth into the lineage of Jesus Christ. In return for her selflessness, Ruth cared for Naomi in her old age.
