The Compassionate Touch of Jesus
The Lord had given Moses were laws concerning people with leprosy. The lives of the men and women affected with leprosy were lonely lives, and it must have been heart-melting to be touched by anyone, especially by the Lord. This story shows the mercy of God and the healing power of Jesus

Faithful to the Family
Three Gospel writers record this miracle showing its importance to God. God cares about every person, and His will is always to heal and restore to health those who are suffering. Jesus never ignored an opportunity to heal or minister when someone had a need. This woman was very sick, indeed close to death, but the words and touch of Jesus was all it took to get her back on her feet.

Just in Time...
Whenever someone was capable, Jesus demanded their faith. In the case of the blind man from Bethsaida, his restoration was progressive. At first, he could see only images, but not clearly. Some have wrongly thought that Jesus’ healing power was deficient. The burden of faith was on the man, not Jesus. All it took was one more touch from the Master, and his vision was perfectly restored.

A Daughter of Abraham is Set Free.
She was bowed over and could not straighten herself to stand upright. She was in spiritual bondage and physically bound as a result. Although her name is not given and there is no other history about her, she went to the one place where one would think she could get help, the synagogue. Likewise, today's churches should be places where hurting people can find help.

Do Not Be Afraid, Only Believe
Following the deliverance of the possessed man in the country of the Gadarenes, Jesus returned to the other side of Galilee, and a multitude of people were waiting for Him. Jairus approached him, and desperately begged Him to come and heal his daughter. “My little daughter lies at the point of death. Come and lay Your hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live.” Jesus went with him, and many people followed Him.

The Son of Man has Power on Earth
The four men carrying the paralyzed man were all proactive in their resolve to connect with Jesus. They weren’t going to let the circumstances hinder them from their purpose. If they couldn’t get in through the front door, they would go through the roof. This demonstration still speaks loudly today to those with ears to hear.

The Roman Centurion Showed Faith in the Healing Power of Jesus
Jesus was not concerned that this man was a Roman soldier. Jesus recognized that this man was selflessly concerned about the well-being of those for which he was responsible. The centurion believed without a shred of doubt that the words of the Lord were powerful and authoritative.

Your Faith has Made You Well
Jesus could see that these men were blind, but He knew that they had to specifically articulate their requests in order to focus their faith on exactly what they were believing for. Although God already knows every need and desire of His people, He instructs believers to be specific in their requests.

Compassion for an Enemy
Peter lunged out and struck the high priest’s servant, Malchus, and cut off his right ear. Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword into the sheath. Shall I not drink the cup which My Father has given Me?” Then He touched the man's ear and healed him.

Jesus as the Model for Healing the Sick
Jesus Christ experienced every pain humanly possible while on earth, both prior to his crucifixion and while on the cross. But as he hung on the cross, Jesus, took upon himself all the sicknesses and diseases of mankind so that by his wounds people could be healed.
