God Gives Adam Dominion in the Garden of Eden but through Sin He Relinquished Authority
God originally gave Adam and Eve dominion. Dominion means to rule over, to be lord over, to dominate, to reign. For an unspecified time, Adam and Eve enjoyed their God-given rulership, and had a taste of what God's people will experience in the future.

The Rise and Expansion of the First Century Church
On the Day of Pentecost came the initial outpouring of the Holy Spirit, and it was His power that enabled the disciples to move the Gospel over such a large geographical area in such a short time. This amazing growth of the Church is recorded in the book of Acts.

Crown of Thorns in the Passion of Christ
As a last act of humiliation against Jesus, the Roman officers twisted a crown of thorns and placed it on his head. Taking up the reed they had given him as a mock scepter, they repeatedly struck Jesus in the head with it. Then they bowed in mockery to the King of the Jews, and led him away to be crucified.

Jesus Died on the Cross to Give Believers Direct Access to the Father
When Jesus died on the cross, three of the Gospels state that the veil separating the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place was torn in two. This was symbolic, indicating that direct access to the presence of God was now available for all believers.

Christians Enjoy an Eternal Relationship with God as Father
When a person is saved or made whole, they have the Spirit of God inside, His incorruptible seed, which makes that person a child of God. Instantaneously taken from death to life, the person now has the spiritual blessing of an eternal relationship with God as their Father.

The churches and households of faithful Christians need to be the refuges and houses of healing for the drained and disillusioned, for broken, lost and frightened people seeking safety and security. This is the ChristianâÃÂÃÂs duty to society.
